According to Главком: On the night of April 29, Russia launched a major assault on Ukraine, deploying 171 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). According to the Ukrainian Air Force, as reported by Glavkom, air defense forces had shot down or suppressed 154 of these drones by 8:00 AM. The attack targeted northern, southern, and eastern parts of the country, with 12 strike drones hitting 10 separate locations.

In Kharkiv, five drones struck the Nemyshlyanskyi, Osnovyanskyi, and Slobidskyi districts. Civilian infrastructure in the Shostka community was also hit, sparking large-scale fires in residential areas. Additionally, the Izmail district came under fire, putting infrastructure facilities in the city of Izmail at risk.
