Germany named the main condition for the rapid transfer of Patriot systems to Ukraine

According to glavcom.ua: Germany is ready to supply Ukraine with two Patriot air defense systems, but only on the condition that they will be replaced within six to eight months, said the German defense minister. He emphasized that this is necessary to ensure the readiness of the Bundeswehr.

«We can transfer our two systems, but only if we have a reliable guarantee that they will be replaced, say, within six to eight months», – he noted.

The defense minister also stated that Europe is considering the possibility of transferring Patriot systems to Ukraine, as the overall need for them is about five.

Previously, the Netherlands also expressed a desire to transfer Patriot systems to Ukraine, and the United States is exploring the possibility of selling such weapons from its stockpiles. Currently, supply agreements are being discussed at the level of defense ministries, and Ukraine expects to receive these systems in the coming weeks.
