Klöckner's visit to Kyiv marks her first official trip abroad since being elected as the Bundestag's speaker, underscoring the high priority Germany places on its partnership with Ukraine. Julia Klöckner stated that 'Ukraine is fighting for the idea of human dignity and universal human rights. For the Russian president, only power matters. In these days, Germany is providing an additional €200 million to strengthen protection against Russian terror bombing.'
