In 'Diia', a paid option to change the passport photo may be introduced: reaction of Ukrainians
A new paid service may appear in the 'Diia' application - the ability to replace the photo in the passport displayed in the app. Deputy Prime Minister for Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov conducted a corresponding survey on Threads. This is reported by 'Hromadske' citing Mykhailo Fedorov.Mykhailo Fedorov asked users if they were willing to pay UAH 99 for changing the photo. The idea received a positive response from most Ukrainians. Users actively support the initiative, noting that they are ready to pay even more, as appearance changes over time. Some even admitted they would be willing to 'lose' documents just to take a new photo.At the same time, people propose to expand such a service for driver's licenses. There is also indignation among commentators who believe that changing the photo should be free of charge. Others point out that in the current conditions, when the budget is often constrained, recovering the photo for money may be inappropriate. People hope that this new feature will help solve the problem with 'Diia.Signature', which currently cannot verify users due to outdated photos.Starting from September 3, notaries in Ukraine can join the 'e-Notariat' system and begin working with a new electronic ecosystem. The first services for citizens in 'Diia' will become available in 2026. Minister for Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov claims that electronic notarization is an innovative platform that will make notarization a more modern and efficient service.
