Нові камери в Нідерландах: 12 тисяч штрафів за використання телефонів під час водіння.

In the Netherlands, experimental next-generation cameras have recorded over 12 thousand violations in four months. Specialized devices to track the use of mobile phones while driving have been operating in The Hague and ten other locations from May to August this year. The fine for each violation is €430.

The absolute leader in the number of recorded cases is the N307 highway near Kampen - here, the camera 'caught' 4130 drivers using their phones. In second place is Lozerlaan in The Hague with 1677 fines, while third place went to the N50 near the same Kampen with 1003 cases.

A comparative analysis showed a dramatic increase. The total number of fines for using mobile devices reached 79 thousand, which is 23 thousand more than during the same period in 2024. Official representatives attribute this increase to the implementation of new recording technologies.

In the Netherlands, in fact, in four months, the experimental cameras recorded 12 thousand violations. They are installed to track the use of mobile phones while driving and operate in several locations across the country, where the most cases have been registered. This indicates that drivers continue to ignore the law prohibiting the use of phones while driving, even with high fines.
