The accused of embezzling 229 million UAH Kobalov is allowed to travel abroad by the court

In January 2023, the former head of 'Naftogaz' Andrey Kobalov was notified of suspicion of embezzling more than 229 million UAH in 2018. According to the investigation, he unlawfully received over 229.25 million UAH in bonuses, which became excessive expenses for the company.

In early June, the SAP turned to the court with a petition to extend the procedural obligations for the former head of 'Naftogaz' Andrey Kobalov. The VAKS partially satisfied this petition, requiring Kobalov to inform the court about any change of residence until August 5, 2025, and to refrain from communicating with certain persons. However, there are no restrictions on traveling abroad.

Also, according to the court's decision, Kobalov must refrain from communication and changing his residence, but travel abroad is not restricted. This is not the first decision for Kobalov, who has had similar restrictions in the past, but some of them have been lifted.

In connection with the suspicion of embezzling property in 2018, the procedural obligations for the former head of 'Naftogaz' Andrey Kobalov were extended, in particular, the obligation to refrain from communicating with certain persons and changing residence, but travel abroad is permitted.
