Assessment of Functioning: What Forms Exist and How to Choose Them
According to Міністерство Здоров'я: The assessment of daily functioning is an important procedure for determining the needs for medical assistance. However, it is not always possible to personally conduct the assessment in a medical institution due to various circumstances. Therefore, there are several forms of conducting the assessment that allow the procedure to be carried out without the person being present directly.
There are four main forms of assessing daily functioning:
- In-person;
- Remote (tele-video consultation);
- Postal (based on documents);
- Home visit (at the place of residence).
The choice of the form of assessment depends on the specific situation and can be conducted individually. Currently, the most common forms of assessment have the following statistics:
In-person assessment – 419,647 cases
Postal – 23,375 cases
Remote – 6,374 cases
Home visit – 1,875 cases
Each form has its own features and allows for assessments to be conducted regardless of the person's location. Additional details can be found on the Ministry of Health website.
In modern conditions, there is an opportunity to assess daily functioning through various forms of conduct, which helps ensure accessibility to medical assistance for all citizens regardless of circumstances.
