According to glavcom.ua: Famous MMA fighter Jeff Monson stated that he plans to obtain Russian citizenship for his children who reside in the USA. Monson has held Russian citizenship since 2018 and renounced his American passport in 2024.

I have two children living in Russia, they are Russian citizens. I have three more children in the USA: my son is 31, my daughter is 28, and the youngest is 15. I especially want my 28-year-old daughter Mikaela to obtain Russian citizenship... In fact, I would like all my children to receive Russian passports, even if they retain their American citizenship.

In 2022, Jeff Monson expressed his support for Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine and spread myths of Russian propaganda about our state.
