According to glavcom.ua:
The chief intelligence officer, Kyrylo Budanov, stated in an interview with Bloomberg that Russian terrorists are aiming to create a 'buffer zone' in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He noted that the capture of the entire Donetsk region by Russia by the end of the year is unrealistic, but Moscow's military has a political goal to enter the Dnipropetrovsk region and create another 'buffer zone' extending up to 10 km deep.
Kremlin forces also attempted to enter the Sumy region, which borders Russia, with the aim of establishing a 'buffer zone'. Intelligence noted that Russians have made some progress in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. Propaganda circulated information about the capture of the village Dachne in the Dnipropetrovsk region, but the General Staff stated that this information is spread by propagandists and that it is merely Russian disinformation.
According to the chief intelligence officer, Russian terrorists are attempting to capture parts of the Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy regions, creating 'buffer zones' along the borders with Ukraine. Despite attempts to reduce these actions to informational noise, the General Staff does not allow the enemy to advance deeper into the inner sectors of Ukraine.
