Mass power outage in the occupied Zaporizhia region

According to glavcom.ua: On the night of July 18, a mass power outage occurred in the occupied areas of the Zaporizhia region. This was reported by 'Glaicom' citing the Telegram channel of collaborator Yevgeny Balitsky, whom the Russians call the 'governor' of the region.

According to him, Melitopol, Enerhodar, as well as Vasylivskyi, Yakymivskyi, Chernihivskyi, Prymorskyi, Pryazovskyi, Kuybyshevskyi, and Kamyanske-Dniprovske districts were left without electricity.

The cause of the blackout was an attack by drones on high-voltage equipment. As a result, some settlements were left without power supply.

Currently, emergency crews are working to restore electricity and switch to backup lines. The work is complicated by the dark time of day.

So far, electricity supply has been restored in Berdiansk and the Yakymivskyi municipal district.

Previous incidents of mass power outages

It is reminded that on the night of June 3, the occupied territories of Zaporizhia and Kherson partially remained without electricity. Russians complain about drone attacks and strikes on electrical substations. This is reported by 'Glaicom' referring to Russian Telegram channels.

It is noted that there was a blackout throughout the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhia region, and there were also problems with electricity in Kherson. Reports indicate a drone strike on electrical substations in Melitopol and Henichesk.

The strike by the Russian terrorist army caused a blackout at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant. This is reported by 'Glaicom' citing the Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko.

The occupiers struck the power transmission line connecting the temporarily occupied ZNPP with Ukraine's unified energy system. This line helps maintain its own needs to ensure radiation safety levels.

A mass power outage has been reported in the occupied Zaporizhia region, resulting from a drone attack on high-voltage equipment. The restoration of electricity supply is complicated by the dark time of day, but light has already been restored in some areas. Previous incidents of similar events this year are also remembered.
