Drone attack on temporarily occupied Crimea

According to glavcom.ua: On the night of August 28, occupied Crimea was attacked by drones, reports the portal 'Glavkom' citing the 'governor' of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev.

Local residents of Sevastopol reported loud explosions and sirens in the sky over the city. The explosions occurred around 11:00 PM in the area of Ocheretyanaya Bay. There are also reports of drones flying over Yevpatoria, Saky, and Novofedorivka.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that 13 Ukrainian UAVs were shot down over the regions of the Russian Federation and the Black Sea within three hours. Air defense shot down three aerial targets over the waters near Sevastopol. No damage to infrastructure was reported

Previous attacks and their consequences

Recall that units of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, together with other components of the Defense Forces, attacked a fuel and energy infrastructure facility in Russia. It was about the Syzran Oil Refinery in the Samara region. Several similar attacks also took place in other regions of Russia, resulting in some oil refineries halting operations.

Sanction pressure has led to a decrease in the price of Russian oil and threatens to deplete the main source of the country's wealth, as Russia is forced to sell oil at reduced prices.

During the night drone attack on temporarily occupied Crimea, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 13 Ukrainian drones were shot down without damage to infrastructure. Previous attacks in Russia on oil refineries have led to supply issues and a decrease in market oil prices in the country.
