Oleksandr Syrskyi prepares a plan for Ukraine's military victory

In the morning, the sky was overcast, and a light rain filled the air with the scent of freshness. At the headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, preparations were underway for an important meeting. Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi was about to share a new defense plan that would be key for future operations.

Ukraine is continuously facing serious challenges: a lack of ammunition and issues with supplies from international partners. In such conditions, Syrskyi decided to implement an aggressive elastic defense. This approach involves constant counterattacks and offensive actions aimed at exhausting the enemy and maintaining one's positions. Syrskyi acknowledges that the success of this tactic largely depends on timely assistance from allies.

The rotation of troops remains one of the toughest problems. On the front line, approximately 50 brigades are fighting, and to ensure rotation, equivalent units need to be engaged. Currently, this option is limited, so Syrskyi employs a tactic of partial rotations, moving brigades to less active sections of the front instead of a full withdrawal to the rear. This allows for maintaining combat readiness, but requires constant coordination and quick responses to changes in the situation.

The arrival of F-16 fighters could become a turning point in this war. These aircraft will significantly enhance Ukraine's air defense capabilities and help repel missile and drone attacks. Syrskyi sees them as a key element for strengthening defense and preparing for future offensive operations.

Recently, Ukraine has deployed an elastic defense strategy. This tactic allows time to be gained by conceding part of the territory to create more secure positions. This decision, though painful, preserves personnel and facilitates more effective combat. The general emphasizes that time is on Ukraine's side, allowing the accumulation of forces and obtaining the necessary weapons for decisive strikes.

Syrskyi stresses the importance of efficient resource management. The Ministry of Defense has started testing a new data management system that will help normalize the processes of collection, transmission, and receipt of information. This will be an important step toward ensuring effective management decisions and enhancing operational readiness.

The delay in military assistance from allies has been a serious challenge for Ukraine. Syrskyi recalls how Russia did not take advantage of the “window of opportunity” for a breakthrough, having about six months for decisive actions. Now, the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian military depends on the accumulation of weapons, preparation time for new troops, and the preservation of logistics.

Surprises are being prepared for the enemy in the second half of summer that should force them to retreat. Although the details remain a secret, assumptions can be made based on the available information and global experience. Perhaps Ukraine is preparing for large-scale counterattacks in certain directions, using new weapons and prepared reserves. This could include sudden strikes on important logistical nodes of the enemy or the implementation of new tactics that will be difficult to anticipate and neutralize.

Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi continues to adapt to challenging conditions and utilizes all available resources to achieve maximum effectiveness in defensive actions. His strategic planning and swift responses to challenges are key factors in preserving Ukraine's combat potential and ensuring its future victory.
