Ukraine sells sanctioned assets and state banks: details of projects with EBRD

According to Мін. Економіки: On November 18, a meeting took place between the Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine, Oleksii Sobolev, and representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) led by President Odile Renaud-Basso.

During the meeting, joint projects were discussed, including a portfolio of large privatization projects – from sanctioned assets to state banks. It is planned to create a single mechanism for preparing and selling assets in groups, together with international advisors.

Particular attention was paid to public-private partnerships and concession projects, especially in the port and social sectors. The government sees the EBRD as a key partner in implementing the 'Industrial Ramstein' initiative and will work on opportunities to supply industrial equipment for Ukrainian enterprises under EU guarantees.

The meeting also confirmed cooperation within the Ukraine Investment Framework and the improvement of corporate governance in state energy companies, including 'Energoatom.'

The Minister emphasized the importance of accelerating procedures so that Ukrainian entrepreneurs have access to financing and guarantees provided by the program.

Plans include joint projects on privatization, concession agreements, and support in corporate governance for the development of the Ukrainian economy.
