According to glavcom.ua: The United Nations has recorded numerous cases of sexual violence committed by Russian military personnel against Ukrainians. This is reported by 'Glavkom', citing the annual report of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

According to 'reliable information', the Russian armed forces and associated groups are systematically violating human rights, including those of Ukrainian servicemen detained in various places of confinement in Ukraine and Russia.

Guterres expressed 'serious concern' over reports of violence and warned that Russia could be added to the list of parties 'reasonably suspected of rape or other forms of sexual violence.'

The Russian mission to the UN declined to comment on the report, and the Secretary-General noted that the Russian authorities are not cooperating with his special envoy on these issues.

The UN report for 2024 also states that 95% of released Ukrainian soldiers were tortured in Russian captivity, including beatings, electric shocks, sexual violence, and other abuses. This has led to calls for an independent investigation into the facts of maltreatment.

Currently, there are known to be 29 special prisons created by Moscow where prisoners are brutally tortured to obtain false confessions. Such activities are linked to the highest leadership of the Russian Federation, the investigation notes.

The United Nations has identified numerous instances of sexual violence committed by Russian military personnel against Ukrainians, as well as the mistreatment of Ukrainian servicemen. This has raised serious concerns and calls for a thorough investigation into these actions.
