Daniil Monin (born August 28, 1973, Kharkiv) — Ukrainian macroeconomist, expert in public finance, tax policy, and economic reforms. Expert of the economic programs at the Ukrainian Institute for the Future.


Professional Activity

Began his career in information technology, working as a programmer, analyst, and project manager. Took part in developing enterprise management automation systems, warehouse and accounting systems, as well as information solutions for government institutions.

Later focused on economic analysis and reform design. Became one of the 16 official co-authors of draft law No. 3357 on a large-scale tax reform, took part in developing the "Free Economy" structural transformation program, and was one of the co-authors of the "Strategy 2030" of the Ukrainian Institute for the Future.

Worked at the National Reform Council. Since 2019, has been cooperating with the Ukrainian Institute for the Future.


Media Activity

Regularly appears as an economic analyst and commentator in Ukrainian media. Author of publications and expert materials for Telegraf, ZN.ua, NV, Khvylia, and other outlets.

Runs his own YouTube and Telegram channels and takes part in interviews, podcasts, and public discussions. Main topics: the state of the Ukrainian economy, the state budget and debt, tax policy, the hryvnia exchange rate, international financing, and prospects for post-war recovery.


Education

National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", degree in applied mathematics.
