Pensioners abroad must undergo identification: the deadline is announced

Pensioners who are temporarily abroad must remember the deadline for physical identification of their identity by December 31 of each year; otherwise, their pension may be suspended. Let us remind you that this requirement is mandatory according to the legislation of Ukraine.

The Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Zaporizhia region has provided an explanation regarding the terms of physical identification for pensioners temporarily residing abroad. According to them, older persons must confirm their identity by December 31 of each calendar year.

In case of non-compliance with this requirement, pensions may be interrupted. According to the Pension Fund, identity confirmation is mandatory within the specified period if the pensioner is outside Ukraine. This requirement is stated in Article 47-1 of the Law on Mandatory State Pension Insurance.
