Pensions Abroad: How Ukrainians Continue to Receive Payments Without Returning Home
Thousands of Ukrainian pensioners living abroad can now receive their Ukrainian pension without returning home. This process has become much simpler, but there are several important conditions that must be met.
One important condition for receiving a Ukrainian pension abroad is the annual physical identification by December 31. This procedure can be done online or via videoconference with a representative of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
The main condition for maintaining the right to a pension is the completion of the annual physical identification by December 31. If this condition is not met, pension payments may be suspended.
Moreover, pensioners can receive their Ukrainian pension in any account of a Ukrainian bank or through international postal transfers via Ukrposhta, regardless of the existence of an agreement between Ukraine and the country of residence.
For pensioners who have reached retirement age abroad, there is an option to apply for a pension remotely through the web portal of the Pension Fund of Ukraine without returning to Ukraine. To do this, one needs to log in to the PFU web portal and fill out the necessary electronic form.
Thus, Ukrainian pensioners living outside the country have a convenient opportunity to receive their pensions, provided that they comply with certain conditions such as annual physical identification and applying remotely through the web portal of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
