Over 52 Billion Hryvnias Allocated for Pensions and Social Benefits by September 17
Overview of Social Benefit Funding in Ukraine
According to Пенсії (RSS): By September 17, 2023, Ukraine has disbursed a total of 52.6 billion hryvnias for pension payments, housing subsidies, benefits, insurance claims, social assistance, and other related support. Of this amount, 8.4 billion hryvnias were distributed via JSC 'Ukrposhta,' while authorized banks handled 44.2 billion hryvnias.
Additionally, 1.4 billion hryvnias have been allocated for housing subsidies and benefits, and 2.5 billion hryvnias for insurance payouts, including 1.2 billion hryvnias specifically for sick leave compensation. Social assistance and other payments received funding totaling 9.2 billion hryvnias. In September alone, more than 761,000 services were provided to individuals seeking support from the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
