Social Payments Totaling 15.6 Billion UAH Funded by Ukraine's Pension Fund

Social Payments in Ukraine as of June 2023

According to Пенсії (RSS): As of June 4, 2023, Ukraine has allocated a total of 15.6 billion UAH for social payments. These funds cover pensions, subsidies, insurance benefits, and other forms of social assistance. In May, the offices of the Pension Fund of Ukraine processed 310,800 services for citizens who submitted requests.

Breakdown of Social Payment Funding

Pension disbursements accounted for 6.5 billion UAH, distributed as follows:

• 2.7 billion UAH were channeled through JSC 'Ukrposhta';
• 3.8 billion UAH were paid via authorized banks.

Housing subsidies and benefits received 1.4 billion UAH, while insurance payments totaled 1.7 billion UAH, including 0.3 billion UAH for sick leave compensation. Additionally, 6.0 billion UAH were set aside for social assistance and other payments.

This data highlights the critical role of social payments in supporting the population amid economic challenges.
