Ukraine’s Pension Fund Disburses 35 Billion Hryvnias in Social Payments

Overview of Social Benefit Payments in Ukraine

According to Пенсії (RSS): As of July 12, 2023, Ukraine had funded a range of social benefits. Pensions accounted for 35.0 billion UAH, with 5.3 billion UAH paid through Ukrposhta JSC and 29.7 billion UAH via authorized banks.

Additionally, 1.3 billion UAH was allocated for housing subsidies and allowances, while insurance payments totaled 2.0 billion UAH-0.7 billion UAH of which went toward sick leave compensation. Social assistance and other benefits amounted to 6.6 billion UAH.

Services Provided by the Pension Fund

In July, the Pension Fund of Ukraine delivered 510,000 services to individuals who reached out to its offices.

These figures underscore the continued funding of social programs in Ukraine, a key pillar of public support amid economic uncertainty. Regular disbursements through channels like banks and Ukrposhta help ensure that citizens, especially during challenging times, have reliable access to social protection and essential services.
