Ukraine's Pension Fund Allocates 75 Billion UAH for Social Payments: How Much Ukrainians Received

Social Payments Financed by Ukraine's Pension Fund

According to Пенсії (RSS): As of April 28, 2023, the Pension Fund of Ukraine has reported on the financing of social payments. A total of 75.0 billion UAH was allocated for pension disbursements, with 9.4 billion UAH distributed through Ukrposhta JSC and 65.6 billion UAH via authorized banks.

Additionally, 4.9 billion UAH was earmarked for housing subsidies and benefits, while 3.6 billion UAH went to insurance payments-2.2 billion UAH of which covered sick leave compensation. Another 27.7 billion UAH was funded for social assistance and other payments. During April, the Pension Fund provided 1,438.6 thousand services to individuals who approached its offices.

This funding highlights the government's efforts to support citizens amid economic challenges. The substantial amounts allocated to pensions and social aid underscore the importance of maintaining a safety net for the population. Such measures are especially critical given the heightened social needs arising from the ongoing crisis in the country.
