Ukraine’s Social Program Funding Status

According to Пенсії (RSS): By July 7, 2023, Ukraine had financed pension disbursements, housing subsidies, benefits, insurance payouts, social assistance, and other payments. In July, a total of 314,600 services were provided to individuals who applied to the Pension Fund of Ukraine. This update reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to social support amid the country’s economic challenges.

Breakdown of Allocated Funds

Specifically, 22.1 billion UAH was allocated for pension payments, distributed as follows:

• 3.3 billion UAH was transferred via UkrPoshta (the national postal service);
• 18.8 billion UAH was disbursed through authorized banks.

Additional funding covered:

• 1.3 billion UAH for housing subsidies and benefits;
• 1.7 billion UAH for insurance payments, of which 0.4 billion UAH was designated for sick leave compensation;
• 6.3 billion UAH for social assistance and other payments.

These figures highlight the continued financing of social programs in Ukraine, a critical pillar for supporting the population during economic hardship. The positive trend in pension and social service delivery underscores the government’s efforts to maintain social stability and improve citizens’ financial well-being.
