According to glavcom.ua: People's Deputy Yulia Sirko stated that the transition of parishes of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine is slow due to problems within the OCU and bureaucratic sabotage.

Yulia Sirko: 'No one wants to take this on, especially when there is no political will from 'above'.'

According to the deputy, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and the Council of Churches should involve parishes more actively in the transition process. She also noted that the limited capabilities of the OCU should be taken into account, as not all parishes can join the church at once due to the war and chaplains.

Liquidation of the UOC-MP and influence of the Russian Federation

Yulia Sirko called for assistance to parishes with bureaucratic procedures and emphasized that Russians are skilled at manipulating slow bureaucracy. Many priests are already seeking ways to separate from the UOC-MP, but this process takes time.

The Ukrainian deputy spoke about the difficulties that parishes face when transitioning to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine due to shortcomings in the church's operations and problems with bureaucratic procedures. She expressed hope that this process would be favorably changed in the future and called for active influence from the church and state institutions to facilitate the transition for parishes.
