From October 1, the Pension Fund will recalculate heating subsidies: who will need to apply

Recalculation of housing subsidies for the heating season 2025-2026

According to hvylya.net: Starting October 1, the Pension Fund of Ukraine will begin recalculating housing subsidies for households for the upcoming heating season. According to official information from the agency, most citizens will receive the recalculation automatically, including those whose subsidy amounted to 0 hryvnias in the summer.

The calculation will take into account the heating season dates from October 16 to April 15, income for the first two quarters of 2025, and the pension amount for August for pensioners.

Those who plan to receive a subsidy for the first time or have experienced changes in their family composition or list of services must apply to the Pension Fund. Additional documents need to be provided by those who were denied a subsidy due to debt if the debt has already been paid, restructured, or challenged in court.

The subsidy can be obtained from the beginning of the heating season if documents are submitted from October 1 to November 30. Applications submitted later will only be valid from the month of their submission.

In connection with the approaching heating season, the Pension Fund of Ukraine announced the start of the recalculation of housing subsidies for households, providing citizens with important information about the conditions for obtaining and recalculating subsidies. This will allow people to timely benefit from support in paying for utilities in the upcoming heating season.
