Suspicion of Zelensky's Inner Circle Undermines Trust and Legitimacy of the President

Mykyta Poturaiev's Statement on Suspicions in the President's Circle

According to 5 канал: Mykyta Poturaiev, the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy, expressed concern over the suspicions raised against the close circle of President Volodymyr Zelensky. According to him, such suspicions undermine public trust and the legitimacy of the president. Poturaiev made this statement during the 'Randevu' program with Yanina Sokolova.

Poturaiev also noted that it is technically possible to hold elections during the war, but with changes to legislation.

“I believe that it is technically possible to hold elections during the war, provided there are changes in legislation, of course. And here I agree with Mykhailo Fedorov, who spoke about elections during the war. Technically, I know how to organize voting itself. But as for whether these elections will be legitimate, the answer is no, because in the result, no one will believe it. And that’s the problem,” Poturaiev stated.

As part of the large-scale special operation 'Forest Gump', the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) are conducting investigative actions concerning high-ranking officials, politicians, and business representatives. The criminal proceedings include:

• Officials of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine;
• Representatives of 'Sens Bank.'

The suspicion has been communicated to former MP Maksym Mykyta and former Deputy Head of the President's Office Iryna Mudra. Iryna Mudra might have concealed significant shadow income and received tens of thousands of dollars outside official payments.

During searches within the 'Forest Gump' operation, a document with a crisis communication plan regarding the activities of the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada was discovered. The figures involved in this operation engaged in raiding in Kyiv, receiving assistance from the Pechersk and Economic Courts, as well as the Ministry of Justice. Poturaiev expressed his opinion on Iryna Mudra, stating:

“To conclude about Iryna Mudra... Look, what do I personally feel? Well, shame.”
