The prominent coach from Kalush Ihor Barna has passed away

According to glavcom.ua: On the 85th year of his life, the prominent coach from Kalush, Ihor Barna, has passed away. This is reported by 'Glavkom' referencing the Association of Sports Wrestling of Ukraine.

Ihor Adamovych Barna is a deserved worker of physical culture and sports of Ukraine, founder of the Kalush school of freestyle wrestling, and Honorary Citizen of the city of Kalush.

The memory of the coach will remain forever

‘Ihor Adamovych is my coach, mentor, and true friend. A person who played a huge role in my life. He taught not to give up when it's hard and to believe when it seems that there is no strength left. His advice, support, and wisdom will stay with me forever. Thank you, dear Ihor Adamovych, for everything you have done for me and for many boys you have raised’

The tragic death of a Ukrainian athlete

The titled Ukrainian athlete Vitaliy Rymaruk has died. The 26-year-old discus thrower was a champion of Ukraine among youth and a prizewinner in adult championships. Vitaliy trained and competed, leaving behind a wife and a small daughter.

Vitaliy Rymaruk served as an officer of the 1st combat group of the 4th special forces unit (airborne) of the 4th separate special forces unit for counter-diversion warfare 'Omega' of the National Guard of Ukraine. The special forces member died in the Pokrovsk direction (Donetsk region).

Two important sports figures of Ukraine have passed away – coach Ihor Barna and athlete Vitaliy Rymaruk. With their contribution to the development of sports, they will leave an indelible mark in the hearts of those whom they trained. We wish the family and loved ones to find their way out of sorrow, remember them as the best, and continue to contribute their efforts to the development of Ukrainian sports in honor of their memory.
