Southern Bridge closed due to Russian shelling: additional buses added to the metro in Kyiv on October 27
In Kyiv on October 27, the number of buses is increasing due to changes in the metro operation and the closure of the Southern Bridge. After the night attack, public transport movement is being arranged according to temporary schemes, and routes No. 22 and No. 91 are redirected via the Darnytsky Bridge. This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.
Buses No. 1-M, No. 22, and No. 91: changes on October 27
Fifteen buses will operate on the temporary route No. 1-M. It is reinforced due to the increased load on the red line of the metro.
The following changes are planned on the two other routes:
-
No. 22: four additional buses will be added, bringing the total to 14. Five of them will operate on a shortened section from Trostyanetska Street to the Lybidska metro station.
-
No. 91: four additional buses will also be added, bringing the total number to seven.
Both routes will transport passengers via the Darnytsky Bridge. The Southern Bridge is temporarily closed after the Russian strike that damaged metro infrastructure. At the beginning of October, the closure of the Southern Bridge was also implemented due to drone attacks.
Kyiv Metro: which stations are operational on October 27
The red line is open in its entirety: trains are running between Akademmistechko and Lisova. Chernihivska and Lisova stations are accepting passengers.
As a result of the attack, objects between Darnytsia and Chernihivska were damaged, as well as exits from the Lisova station. Metro workers worked all night to ensure the transportation of passengers across all stations on the red line.
On the green line, a different mode is in effect:
-
trains are running between Syrets and Vidubichi;
-
movement on the section Osokorky – Chervony Khutir is temporarily suspended;
-
during air alerts, all underground stations operate as shelters.
Information about the return of the metro to normal operation will be communicated separately. The Kyiv City State Administration urges passengers to plan their trips in advance and check urgent announcements from carriers.
Previously, due to subway restrictions, the city appointed additional train services between Pochaivna and Vidubichi. That schedule was valid on October 23, so for current trips, one needs to check the updated schedule for Kyiv City Express.
