Peace Plan of the Donald Trump Administration for Ukraine

According to ХВИЛЯ: The Donald Trump Administration has developed a 28-point peace plan for Ukraine, which includes an unprecedented system of security guarantees for 10 years. This plan obliges the US and its allies to respond to Russian aggression as an attack on the entire transatlantic space. The document was presented to Volodymyr Zelensky by US Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll.

Security Guarantees and Restrictions

The security guarantees proposed under the plan are valid for 10 years with the possibility of extension. Any significant attack by the Russian Federation on Ukraine will be considered a threat to the peace of the entire transatlantic community. One important aspect of the plan is the restriction of the size of Ukraine's armed forces to 600 thousand military personnel. At the same time, no NATO troops will be stationed on Ukrainian territory. The plan also includes the lifting of sanctions against Russia.

As part of the implementation of this peace plan, a demilitarized zone will be created between the Ukrainian and Russian control zones. Control lines in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions are proposed to be effectively frozen. As mentioned in the document, Ukraine will receive reliable security guarantees. Meanwhile, Moscow has been preliminarily informed of these plans, but it is unclear whether Putin's signature will be required to initiate the mechanism.

Thus, the presented peace plan could become an important step towards stabilizing the situation in Ukraine and improving security guarantees in the region. Its implementation will require close cooperation between Ukraine, the US, and allies, as well as consideration of Russia's position, which could affect the further course of peace negotiations and the security architecture in Europe.
