Power outage schedule in the regions
З початку грудня в Україні стартують відключення електроенергії: що потрібно знати про нові графіки у різних областях.

Introduction of hourly power outages in Ukraine

According to ХВИЛЯ: Starting December 9, hourly power outages will be introduced in all regions of Ukraine. This decision was made as a result of Russian missile and drone attacks on energy facilities, which necessitated the limitation of electricity supply. The restrictions will last around the clock from 00:00 to 23:59 to ensure the stability of the energy system.

Outage schedules and their impact

According to the new schedules, the hourly outage system divides consumers into six queues. With the application of up to three queues, the outages affect half of the consumers in the region, while with four queues this number can reach up to 70% of consumers. The duration of outages may vary from 4 to over 12 hours per day, which can significantly impact the daily life of the population.

The load on Ukraine's energy system is most notably observed from 08:00 to 11:00 and from 17:00 to 23:00. During these hours, outages may be most frequent, requiring consumers to be prepared for possible interruptions in electricity supply. It is important to note that on December 8, emergency outages were already in effect in several regions of Ukraine, highlighting the relevance of the new measures.

  • The electricity tariff at night, from 23:00 to 07:00, is 2.16 UAH per kilowatt-hour.
  • These changes in the electricity supply system are aimed at reducing the load on the energy system.
  • Consumers are recommended to monitor the outage schedules and plan their activities according to the new electricity supply conditions.

The introduction of hourly power outages in Ukraine is a response to the serious challenges faced by the country's energy system amidst ongoing aggression. These measures aim not only to preserve the stability of the energy system but also to ensure an equitable distribution of resources among consumers. Consumers must be prepared for changes in their daily lives, as the duration of outages can significantly affect their comfort and plans.
