Former world kickboxing champion and multiple-time champion of Russia Dmitry Likhodumov died at the age of 50. This is reported by 'Glavkom'.

Russian sources report that the kickboxer was found injured in a wasteland in the Moscow region. His body bore numerous injuries, likely from beatings and a vehicle collision. The athlete was rushed to the hospital in serious condition, but the doctors were unable to save him.

Fate of a multiple-time champion

Likhodumov was a multiple-time champion of Russia, a prize-winner of the European Championship, a finalist of the World Championship, and a world champion among professionals. Twenty years ago, he left his hometown Lipetsk (Russia) for Ukraine, where he lived until 2022, but after the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia, he returned to the aggressor country. Russian sources note that he led a reclusive lifestyle. Friends have repeatedly tried to get him a job in local sports schools, but he refused.

The deceased Dmitry Likhodumov was an outstanding kickboxer who left a huge mark in the sports world. His tragic death will leave a significant void in the hearts of fans and colleagues.
