Zoomers Choose Travel Based on People's Appearance: What the Research Showed
According to glavcom.ua: Full Frame Insurance found that people born between 1997 and 2012 plan their travels based on the 'attractiveness' of individuals in photographs. More than half of the respondents consider the appearance and atmosphere of a place important for creating beautiful pictures. Even if it means interrupting a trip if the resulting photos do not meet their expectations.
Interesting fact: there is a trend among youth called 'Bed Rotting', where they spend the whole day in bed without important tasks.
However, not everything is smooth sailing for Generation Z. Many of them experience a 'quarter-life crisis', feelings of stress, anxiety, and insecurity at the age of 20-35.
The presented research indicates that modern youth prefer travel that looks aesthetically pleasing in photos rather than enjoying the trips themselves. Furthermore, increased anxiety and stress among youth may accompany them on their journey to adulthood.
