According to Главком: Police in the Kyiv region are working to identify the individuals responsible for setting off fireworks in Bila Tserkva on February 22. Under Ukraine's martial law, the use of pyrotechnics is strictly prohibited, making this incident a subject of a formal investigation.

The event occurred in a residential area of the city after police received reports of sounds resembling firecracker explosions. During a review of social media, law enforcement officers discovered video footage of the fireworks display. A joint investigative team is now working at the scene to gather evidence and identify those involved in the offense.

Martial Law Restrictions on Pyrotechnics

Authorities remind the public that the use of pyrotechnic items like firecrackers, fireworks, and flares is banned under martial law. However, the use of party poppers and sparklers is permitted, provided all fire safety regulations are strictly followed.

• More than half of these cases have been classified as criminal offenses.
• In the first year of the full-scale war, 5 verdicts were issued.
• Over the following year, the number of court rulings increased by a factor of 3.4.
• Most cases are prosecuted under the criminal code article for hooliganism.

Police are urging citizens to report any information about violators to the emergency line 102 or to the duty station of the Bila Tserkva District Police Department at 0 (93) 126 55 05.
