According to glavcom.ua: Ukrainians honor the memory of Roman Svjantko, who defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine in the Kyiv direction as part of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces. Roman was born in 2001 in the Ternopil region and was known for his sincere and helpful character.
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he stood up to defend his homeland from the invasion of Russian occupiers. He defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine in the Kyiv direction as part of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhtsy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Roman Svjantko passed away on March 13, 2022, but was buried only on July 8, 2025, at the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv. He remains in the memory of his relatives, friends, and his homeland as a hero who gave his life for the freedom of Ukraine.
Today, we all together honor the memory of all those fallen by Russian invaders, supporting families and honoring the lives of those who gave their lives for a free and independent Ukraine.
The message of honoring the memory of Roman Svjantko reminds Ukrainians of the sacrifice made by warriors on the front to protect the country from Russian aggression. It reminds everyone of the heroism and selflessness of Ukrainian defenders who gave their lives for peace and independence of the country.
