Support for Sports Initiatives

According to Рубрика: The BGV charity fund supported the stages of the GGBET 3x3 Basketball Championship of Ukraine and the XI All-Ukrainian Open Water Swimming Tournament Teteriv OPEN 2026. The basketball fifth stage took place on August 15-16 in Ivano-Frankivsk, while the final competitions were held in Kyiv. Half of the prizes for the winning teams of the fifth stage will be donated to the needs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. The Teteriv OPEN 2026 tournament was dedicated to the memory of fallen defender Yuriy Malynovskyi with the call sign 'Dolphin'.

Competition Results

BGV supported all stages of the GGBET 3x3 Basketball Championship of Ukraine, including the fifth stage in Ivano-Frankivsk and the final competitions in Kyiv. The fifth stage of the championship gathered 13 men’s teams, among which the team 'Polisia-Zhytomyr Polytechnic' won, with BGV Group Management as its general partner. In the final, the team defeated the Sumy region team BC SumDU in overtime. During the final stage of the championship in Kyiv, 'Polisia-Zhytomyr' and 'Polisia Polytechnic' U-16 from the State University 'Zhytomyr Polytechnic' won silver medals. The winners in the final matches in Kyiv were also determined in overtime.

The XI All-Ukrainian Open Water Swimming Tournament Teteriv OPEN 2026 took place in Zhytomyr, uniting over 200 athletes from various regions of Ukraine. Participants had the opportunity to cover distances of 9000, 6000, 1500, 800, and 600 meters. The tournament program also included a night swim. Teteriv OPEN 2026 was dedicated to the memory of Yuriy Malynovskyi, who was killed on August 5, 2024, while performing a combat mission. Yuriy Malynovskyi was an athlete and a graduate of the Zhytomyr Children's and Youth Sports School 'Avangard'.

Thus, the BGV charity fund continues to support sports initiatives in Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of sports and the memory of the country's defenders. This support not only contributes to the development of sports but also helps unite the community around shared values such as patriotism and honoring the memory of fallen heroes. Sports events taking place under the auspices of charity funds also become a platform for fundraising to support the military and their families, which is especially relevant given the modern challenges facing the country.
