The Polish government has made changes to the eligibility conditions for the 800+ benefit for Ukrainian citizens. Now, to receive the monthly child benefit, one must be professionally active and pay taxes in Poland. Among the conditions is also participation in pension insurance and adherence to the benefit amount.
Professionally active individuals include employees with official labor contracts, registered entrepreneurs, and those on parental leave with social insurance.
Compliance with the conditions will now be checked during each payment, which will be conducted monthly by the 10th of the month following the verification of professional activity or medical insurance criteria.
The new measures are an attempt to enhance the responsibility of benefit recipients and ensure a minimum level of social protection for Ukrainians working in Poland.
