Legendary former Fiorentina player has passed away

According to glavcom.ua: On Tuesday, July 22, former Italian footballer Celeste Pin died at the age of 65. This is reported by 'Glavkom' citing La Gazzetta dello Sport.

According to preliminary data, the cause of death was likely suicide. Pin's body was found in his home after one of his relatives reported a long absence of communication with him.

Tragedy at the front: two outstanding Ukrainian athletes have died

At the front, Yuri Bredak (call sign 'Clever') – a titled Ukrainian rower, was killed. Yuri died on June 23, 2025. He was a well-known athlete – a master of sports in rowing, a multiple medalist of the Ukrainian championships, representing the capital at national and global levels.

It should be recalled that the titled Ukrainian athlete Vitaliy Rimaruk was also killed at the front. The 26-year-old discus thrower Vitaliy Rimaruk was the champion of Ukraine among youth and a medalist of the senior championship. He is survived by a wife and a small daughter. Vitaliy Rimaruk served as an officer in the 1st Combat Group of the 4th Special Purpose Group (airborne) of the 4th Separate Special Purpose Unit for countering diversions 'Omega' of the National Guard of Ukraine.
