Over 200 thousand people are waiting for evacuation from Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions

According to glavcom.ua: According to the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, over 200 thousand individuals live in dangerous areas of these regions and require evacuation. From June 1 to August 22, more than 64 thousand people have already been evacuated, but a significant number仍然须等待撤离,包括许多儿童。

«About 237 thousand more people need evacuation - these are the people who continue to live in dangerous areas, among them - almost 17,200 children», the Ministry reported.

Key transit points for evacuation

The transit point in Pavlograd (Dnipropetrovsk region) is one of the key points for evacuation. In addition, new points have started operating in Lozova (Kharkiv region) and Voloske (Dnipropetrovsk region). It was noted separately that 224 people have already received assistance in Lozova, while all others have headed to temporary accommodation places.

«We are reformatting the work of transit points so that they perform exclusively a temporary function, and people can move to safer regions within a day», said Minister of Communities and Territories Development Oleksiy Kubela.

The emergency situation in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions has inspired the government to evacuate more than 64 thousand individuals. However, another 237 thousand people are waiting for evacuation, including over 17,000 children. Such criteria and quick transport routes will fit into the operation of transit points that will provide temporary accommodation for residents.
