Police Have Neutralized Over 490,000 Explosive Devices Since the Full-Scale Invasion Began
Celebrating the Day of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit of the National Police of Ukraine
According to МВС: The bomb technicians of this unit continue eliminating threats left behind by the Russian army’s full-scale invasion. Since the start of the war, these specialists have surveyed more than 53,000 hectares of land, removing and neutralizing nearly 490,000 explosive items.
Daily Operations of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Teams
Every day, these teams dispose of:
- aerial bombs;
- mines;
- unexploded ordnance;
- remnants of enemy drones.
In addition, they have neutralized over 22 tons of explosive materials. This work is a critical part of ensuring safety in conflict-affected regions.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit plays a vital role in Ukraine’s recovery and security, especially in the post-war context.
