Poroshenko: the introduction of peacekeepers in Donbass is ruled out

Petro Poroshenko stated that the introduction of peacekeepers in Donbass is ruled out.

The President of Ukraine noted that the experience of using peacekeeping forces in Transnistria and other frozen conflicts led to a loss of sovereignty. For this reason, according to Petro Poroshenko, a peacekeeping mission will not be involved in resolving the conflict in Donbass.

Earlier, the head of state assured that the experience of Ossetia, Transnistria, and Abkhazia, which became international outcasts, will not affect Donbass. The law 'On the special procedure of local self-government in certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions' will help resolve the situation peacefully, which implies decentralization of power.
