Ukraine's Role in Introducing POLITICO Madrid Playbook

According to Embajada de Ucrania en el Reino de España: Ukrainian Ambassador to Spain, Yuliya Sokolovska, participated in the launch event for POLITICO’s new Madrid Playbook, marking the media outlet’s official expansion into Spain. This event represented a significant milestone in the country’s media landscape as the first Spanish-language morning newsletter, Madrid Playbook, is set to debut on October 13. The newsletter will focus on Spanish politics, institutions, and decision-making processes.

More than 350 attendees from political, diplomatic, business, and media sectors gathered for the presentation, including ministers and ambassadors. The presence of the Ukrainian Embassy highlighted an opportunity to strengthen ties with both the Spanish and international media communities, as well as political and institutional representatives.

Expectations and Future Opportunities

The Ukrainian Embassy anticipates a dynamic partnership with POLITICO’s Madrid editorial team, aiming to promote consistent coverage of Ukraine’s situation, Spain-Ukraine relations, and Spain’s support within the broader European security framework. This involvement underscores the crucial role of media collaboration in enhancing bilateral relations and keeping audiences informed about current developments in Ukraine.

POLITICO’s growing footprint in Spain and the launch of Madrid Playbook are poised to become vital tools for regional information dissemination. In today’s complex political environment, media must serve not only as a source of news but also as a forum for dialogue and analysis on issues shaping international relations. The Ukrainian Embassy’s engagement in this initiative is expected to deepen understanding of Ukraine’s challenges and needs across Europe, reinforcing the country’s international support.
