Stubb also argued that Russian information warfare is aimed at spreading fear across Europe. He suggested that Moscow might announce a new mobilization push in the autumn, which he said could trigger domestic political consequences within Russia.

“Russia's options for escalating right now are extremely limited,” Stubb said. “The one remaining escalatory step available to Moscow is mobilization.”

Meanwhile, Ukrainian and Finnish companies have signed agreements to jointly develop and manufacture drones for use in Ukraine and Europe. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the drone production initiative after meeting with Stubb. Zelensky emphasized that the partnership combines Ukraine's battlefield experience with Finnish technological expertise. The cooperation also extends to maritime uncrewed systems and ground robotic platforms.

In addition, Zelensky met with US Senators Richard Blumenthal and James Lankford, discussing the outcomes of the G7 summit and the next steps toward ending the war.
