PrivatBank introduces a subscription fee for cards: who will pay from 240 UAH

PrivatBank is changing the terms of payment card servicing: an annual fee of 240 UAH is introduced for some clients. The new rules primarily concern inactive or outdated cards. This is reported by FBC.

The bank explains that the new fee will apply to cards with low activity or those that no longer correspond to current tariff packages.

This applies to clients who:

• do not make regular payments

• do not receive salaries or payments to their card

• do not use the card in everyday operations

• have additional cards that are not actually used.

Such users may incur an annual service fee starting from 240 UAH.

Card servicing: who will not pay

PrivatBank emphasizes that the terms remain unchanged for active clients.

Free servicing will remain for those who:

• regularly use the card for payments

• pay utility bills

• receive salaries or social payments.

The bank recommends clients to check their cards in the mobile app and close those that are not used to avoid additional costs.

The financial institution also notes that all tariff changes are published in advance, and clients are additionally informed through SMS and notifications in the app.

The updates are explained by the costs of maintaining infrastructure and supporting inactive products, which create additional load on the system.
