DSNS Psychologists Presented Unique Help Methods at International Conference

DSNS Psychologists at the International Conference
Психологи ДСНС поділилися інноваційними методами підтримки на міжнародному форумі.

In a playback style, as if we have already walked through Igor Tsymbler's play 'Cyborgs', we write about how the psychologists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine participated in the international conference 'Stronger Together: Psychosocial Support for Children, Adults, and Communities During War'. There was a strong presence of representatives from various organizations - both international and our own. In total, they discussed various challenges of the war, defined priorities, and outlined plans for the future on how to support the population in such difficult times.

In addition to gatherings and discussions, psychologists from Ukraine also participated in a panel discussion on the topic 'Ukrainian Practices of Psychosocial Support: Helping Children, Adults, and Families in Communities', demonstrating various methods from crisis assistance to long-term programs. At the same time, they addressed the most pressing issues arising in communities and sought solutions for improving the psychosocial support system.

It is especially noteworthy to highlight the speech of DSNS psychologist Anastasia Kuchynska, who shared her experience and practical advice on providing emergency psychological assistance in emergency situations. She introduced the attendees to the 'psychologist's suitcase' and conducted practical exercises that help people in difficult moments.

Everything in one - exchanging experiences, analyzing situations, seeking better practices, and generally supporting our people who have experienced war. After all, when 'stronger together', enemies are not scary!
