European countries express serious concerns and are beginning to seek ways to prevent a possible offensive. Negotiations for a peaceful settlement are ongoing, but so far there is no clear solution.
The conditions that Putin has posed for a peace agreement have caused outright distrust from the Ukrainian authorities, as the ultimatum could undermine national security and sovereignty. The situation remains tense, but hopes for a peaceful resolution to the conflict still persist.
