Russia attacked Sumy with Shahed drones: what is known about the consequences

On the night of August 27, Russian troops carried out a drone attack on Sumy. This was reported by 'Glavkom', citing the head of the Sumy Regional State Administration Oleg Grigorov and the acting mayor of Sumy Artem Kobzar.

As Grigorov reported, as a result of the strike, infrastructure facilities were damaged, but preliminary data indicates that there were no casualties.

The acting mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar, also confirmed that the enemy attacked the city with 'Shaheds', but residential areas were not affected.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the issue of security guarantees for Ukraine had not yet been discussed in detail, but promised that the U.S. would be involved in this process.

'We do not know what the security guarantees will be, because we have not even discussed the details. We'll see. First of all, Europe will provide significant security guarantees to Ukraine, and it must do so because it is nearby. But we will be involved as a reserve, we will help them,' Trump said.

According to the latest data, the attack on Sumy damaged some facilities, but fortunately, there were no casualties. It was also confirmed that there would be some security guarantees for Ukraine from the U.S., which still need to be discussed in detail.
