Russia attacked the thermal power station near Kyiv: thousands of households left without gas

Russian occupiers shelled a thermal generation facility in the Kyiv region on the night of Monday, September 8. The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, according to 'Khvylia', reported this and stated that rescue workers and energy specialists are already working at the scene to actively address the consequences of the attack.This attack was aimed at creating problems for the civilian population – depriving people of electricity and heat, disconnecting hospitals, schools, and kindergartens. As a result of the shelling of the Tripoli thermal power station in the Kyiv region and Kyiv, disruptions occurred in the energy system, leading to power outages. For two days, part of the region will be without gas due to this attack, which also caused emergency work on the gas network in the Obukhiv district and a shutdown of gas supply for 8,093 subscribers. The complete operation of the energy system is planned to be restored gradually.
