Russian Military Attacks Target Dnipropetrovsk Region

According to Главком: On April 17, Russian forces launched strikes on the Nikopol and Synelnykove districts, as well as the city of Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk region. These attacks resulted in injuries to eight civilians. The National Police of Ukraine, which is documenting the aftermath, reported that the assaults involved artillery, drones, and aerial bombs. The Dnipropetrovsk region, a key industrial and population center, has been a frequent target of Russian attacks since the full-scale invasion began.

Consequences of the Assaults

The Marhanets community in the Nikopol district suffered the highest number of casualties. There, an FPV drone struck near a civilian vehicle, injuring a 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman. Approximately one hour later, Russian forces hit a village within the same community, wounding two men, aged 61 and 74.

In Kryvyi Rih, the enemy targeted city infrastructure, damaging multi-story residential buildings. A 39-year-old man was wounded in this attack. In the Synelnykove district, drones struck the Vasylkivka community, hitting an industrial enterprise and injuring two men, aged 51 and 70.

In a separate incident on April 20, Russian drones attacked Pryluky in the Chernihiv region. The strike hit a district police department, partially destroying the building and injuring a local resident. Information about this event has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which covers violations of the laws and customs of war. Police investigators and emergency services continue to document the consequences of these attacks.

These incidents underscore the ongoing aggression by Russian forces, which continues to endanger civilian safety across Ukraine. The increasing number of attacks on civilian objects and critical infrastructure raises serious concerns about the humanitarian situation in affected regions. Ukrainian authorities are providing aid to the victims and meticulously documenting the effects of the aggression for future legal proceedings.

These recent incidents in the Dnipropetrovsk region are part of a broader pattern of violence, as similar strikes have been reported across multiple Ukrainian territories.
