Russia plans largest rearmament program since the collapse of the USSR, - Budanov
Russia is preparing for a prolonged large-scale war. Russia plans to spend about $1.1 trillion on rearmament by 2036, while getting ready for confrontation with Ukraine and the West. This was reported by the head of the Ukrainian military intelligence Kirill Budanov at a meeting of ambassadors in Kyiv.
This is the most ambitious military program of the Kremlin since the collapse of the Soviet Union
The head of GUR also noted that Russia is already actively mobilizing its internal resources to form a new military machine. At the same time, two new military districts have been created - the Moscow and Leningrad districts, which are preparing to deploy new divisions and units.
Russia's political expansion on the international level
In addition to the growth of military potential, Russia is actively promoting its political expansion on the international level. The country is strengthening its influence in Africa through private military companies such as PMC 'Wagner' and the structures of the 'African Corps'. At the same time, the Russian regime supports dictatorial governments and terrorist organizations, trying to undermine the existing global order.
Activating hybrid warfare
Budanov also drew attention to the activation of hybrid warfare, particularly information and cyber operations, through which Russia intervenes in the internal affairs of other states. The Kremlin's goal is to establish a new 'world order', where several 'great powers', including Russia, will monopolize resources, power, and global issues.
The statement about Russia's readiness for a prolonged large-scale war and its political expansion on the international level indicates a significant increase in the country's military-political ambitions and a threat to stability in the region and the world as a whole.
