Russia is increasing the production of Shahed combat drones

Russia plans to manufacture over 6 thousand Shahed drones per month, reports CNN citing Ukrainian intelligence. According to sources, the price of drones for the Kremlin has significantly decreased due to mass production.

The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington estimates the cost of a Shahed-136 at between 20 to 50 thousand dollars, while the price of a missile interceptor is over 3 million dollars. It is noted that Russian attacks using drones are becoming increasingly effective, with high accuracy of hits.

Plans for the Future

Ukrainian intelligence reported that Russia plans to release about 79 thousand drones of various types this year. The Kremlin is actively expanding production capacities at the 'Alabuga' factory in Tatarstan, where Shahed are assembled, rapidly building dormitories for workers and new workshops.

The production of Russian Shahed combat drones is growing at a staggering pace, reducing the cost of drones and increasing their strike accuracy. The plans to release a significant number of drones this year indicate Russia's serious intentions in this area and could have a significant impact on the geopolitical situation in the region.
