According to hvylya.net: Russian troops have positioned themselves 20 kilometers from Sumy and suppressed the region with 50,000 soldiers. This creates an emergency situation for Ukrainian troops, who significantly outnumber their opponents - a ratio of 3:1.

Over the past year, the front line has retreated nearly 160 kilometers and now stretches more than 1200 kilometers from northeast to south. Russian troops are conducting active reconnaissance in combat operations in various parts of the front, then delivering powerful strikes where they notice vulnerabilities, as happened in the Sumy region last month.

'Their strategy is to exhaust us with their numbers,' said General Alexander Syrsky, commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the past six months, Ukrainian troops have held positions in the Kursk region, but after retreats, Russian troops began an offensive in Sumy. Ukrainian command is forced to operate in a 'whack-a-mole' mode, redeploying elite units to close gaps.

'Right now we are looking for ways to conduct our own attacks and push the enemy back,' emphasized Timur, commander of the 'Timur' special forces unit, who has been fighting in the region for several weeks.

Russian troops have amassed near Sumy and created a critical situation for Ukraine, presenting a serious threat to Ukrainian forces. In an effort to push back the enemy, Ukrainian troops are forced to make difficult decisions and take active measures to ensure the security of the region.
